So my mech is done but when I click on the insert image button on blogger it gives me a blank screen over and over again I don't know why. It is done though and I'm not going to touch it anymore I hope you are okay with me showing it to you in class tomorrow my texturing is still really bad though haha.

Today while working in the other lab once I got all my files onto this computer I created the upper arm and elbow joint for one of his arms.

I have now started, after finishing the hull, helmet, and pelvis, working on the arms for the Mech. Luckily my computer has not been crashing *knocks on wood* and hopefully it stays that way.

Finished all the UVs and I am super happy that there is an option in maya to layout the UVs instead of having to place each one individually.

I mirrored the doors and added more detail to the body of the car and I think I will make the body all one piece.

So I didn't get a lot done just the very basic shape of the door, but I now know how to approach the model and was able to get my reference photos in maya.

I finished the project and my seat favorite part was the Bump mapping with photoshop but I think I understand how it works so I should be okay.

Completed the 5th module and I really didn't like modeling those Torx-type screws. It wasn't difficult but it was very tedious and such a small part in my opinion.


Completed the motor and propeller module, 4 or 3 more to go!!!


I have completed the third module and now I'm working on the fourth.

Today I worked on the iron some more and created all four arms but then the tutorials had me delete one side so I could make the bottom of it more square in shape.

Today in class I started the texturing and material part of the videos and made my first few materials inside maya.

It is Wednesday night at 9:00 P.M. I have been here since 8:00 P.M. Which isn't that long, but in that time I finished the section of videos before the Texturing section. That basically involved finishing the arm of the ship then duplicating it and grouping all the geometry in the scene. I also had to use NURBS for one section of the arm which was kind of confusing but I got it figured out.
