I DID IT!!! So yeah I finished the first set of videos and all the modeling and texturing of the ship.

So today I solved the problem of the textures not showing up in Maya it did however slow me down so I will have to come in over the weekend.

Today in class I started the texturing and material part of the videos and made my first few materials inside maya.

It is Wednesday night at 9:00 P.M. I have been here since 8:00 P.M. Which isn't that long, but in that time I finished the section of videos before the Texturing section. That basically involved finishing the arm of the ship then duplicating it and grouping all the geometry in the scene. I also had to use NURBS for one section of the arm which was kind of confusing but I got it figured out.



Today I finished up modeling the lower arm and have started modeling the claw.

Today I finished model the arm and the small details on it now I'm starting to work on the bottom addition to the arm.

Today I smoothed the body of the model as well as created one of the two arms for it.

In class today I added an antenna to the model as well as created the windshield and front bumper of the ship.

Today I added onto a lot of the top part of the spaceship by using the bevel and extrude tools. I did duplicate one object because they were the exact same thing just used in two different spots.

What I learned today.

Today I figured out several things such as beveling certain parts of a cube, how to bring in reference images and making my object match the images.
